How we choose our words
and recommendations.
A thoughtful recommendation should help you make a choice, including the choice not to buy anything.
Message examples are starting points
Our examples are curated suggestions to adapt to your situation. We favour specific responsibility, realistic offers, and respect for boundaries. The wording checker uses a small set of phrase rules in your browser. It cannot assess your intentions, know the full context, or decide whether an apology is enough.
What a gift recommendation includes
We explain why an item might suit someone, what to consider before choosing it, and a free alternative. Listings include review dates and availability notes. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we have not personally tested the product. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, or delivery guarantees.
Prices and availability
Budget groups are general browsing guides, not price quotes. The retailer controls current prices, selected options, shipping, stock, and returns. Check the full cost and delivery to the recipient’s address before buying. Ask before uploading another person’s photo or sending an unexpected delivery.
Affiliate links
When a link is labelled “Affiliate link,” we may earn a commission on an eligible purchase through that link. Ordinary product links do not imply an active commercial partnership. We do not charge you for using our tools, and a purchase is never required to create or receive a card.
Affiliate enrollment and eligible purchases depend on each program’s terms. Recommendations should make sense even without a commission. We include free gestures and do not put shopping promotions inside a recipient’s card.
Corrections and suggestions
If a link is broken, a product no longer fits its description, or wording could be more thoughtful, tell us what needs improving. We review a small catalogue manually rather than claiming live price or inventory monitoring.
